St. Mary’s Re-opens for Public Worship

Following advice from the Government and the Church of England, St.Mary’s has re-opened all our services, namely Communion on Sundays at 8am, and on Wednesdays at 10 am.  Services are also currently continuing on Sundays on Zoom at 10 am. (Please contact for further details). Due to the need for 2 metres social distancing, numbers will be limited to 20 people per service on a first come, first served basis. So come early if you want to be guaranteed a seat!

It has also been decided to re-open our Sunday 10 am service each week. Numbers will be limited to 30 (including using the balcony if needed) and you will need to register for the service by noon on the Thursday before (please contact Roxy Jones at or 07736 585316) to secure a place. If more people wish to attend than spaces available, those unable to attend will be offered a first refusal for the following Sunday’s service.

You will expected to sanitise your hands on entering the building. Please wear a (clean) face covering to church and for the whole of the service – these are now mandatory. Communion will only be available in one kind (bread or wafers) at present and singing will not be taking place.

Funerals, weddings and baptisms are now also taking place. Please visit our ‘life events’ page for further details.

I look forward to welcoming you (back) to St.Mary’s, though please do not attend church if you currently have symptoms of coronavirus.

knowing that nothing can separate us from your love in Christ Jesus our Lord.    Amen.

At St.Mary’s we have a daily cycle of prayer so that all the streets in the parish are prayed for each month,
