Community Lunch

 

Community Lunch takes place on the second Tuesday of each month at 12 noon. Everyone is welcome to join us for a light lunch — soup and bread, followed by cake and a cuppa! We’d love to see you there!

Messy Church

Messy Church normally takes place on the third Saturday of the month between 4-5.30 p.m. Do come and join us for messy crafts, worship and food. Suitable for all ages, including families with young children. To book, please click on this link.

Small Groups

Want to discover the stories of people in the Bible — how God worked in their lives and how He works in ours today.

Looking for Room/Space to Hire ?

St Mary's Great Sankey

St Mary’s Church is conveniently situated on Liverpool Road within the community of Great Sankey. There are a range of accommodating spaces to hire for all groups with modern, comfortable furnishings within its historic ambience. Kitchen facilities are also available. There is some limited parking available at the front of church or free parking at Sankey for Penketh train station which is a 5 minute walk away.

Bookings can be made for any day of the week from 9am-10pm and discounted rates are available for charities and community bookings. If you are interested in hiring a room or space please contact the church hire co-ordinator at stmarysbookingsankey@gmail.com.

Brownies, Guides and Rainbows

We meet on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday @ Tim Parry Community Centre, Wroxham Road, Great Sankey near Park Road School. There are places available for girls aged 5 -7 Rainbows (Thursday), 7 – 10 Brownies (Monday and Wednesday) and 10+ Guides (Thursday).  Girls do not need to have been a Rainbow or Brownie to join Guides. Lightnings’ (Children’s Group)

St.Mary’s Children’s Group (Lightnings) currently meets in person on the second, third, fourth and fifth Sundays of the month at 10.00 a.m. at church. Children and leaders start off in church, and if there is communion, rejoin for that at the end of the service. HOW TO GET HERE

Travel by Bike: There are cycle racks to lock your bike to in front of our extension.

Travel by Bus: The number 14 and 15 services run from Warrington Town Centre to near the church and take about 15 minutes.

Travel by Train: The nearest station with a regular service is Warrington West. Trains from both Liverpool and Manchester take around 30-40 minutes. It takes 15 minutes to walk from the station to St.Mary's.

Travel by Car: The church is situated just off the A57 road from Warrington Town centre to the M62 motorway at Junction 7. There is a small area to park in front of the church, which takes about 5 to 6 cars. Otherwise, there is parking at the Sankey for the Penketh train, which is a 5-minute walk away.
