Living in Love and Faith (LLF)
Living in Love and Faith (LLF) is a process that the Church of England and its dioceses are currently engaged with. We are all being invited to contribute to this process of thinking about human identity, relationships, sexuality and marriage by taking part in a 5 session course. For our team, this will begin in the middle of September and we will be running three groups, two (hopefully) in-person on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7.30 p.m., and one on Wednesday afternoons at 3 p.m. The groups will be facilitated by two members from different churches of our core team of clergy, local missional leaders and ordinand. I strongly encourage you to take part and there will be a sign-up sheet at the back of church or do email or ring me via the office to register your interest. If you would like further information about this process, visit Living in Love and Faith | The Church of England or do have a word with me.
Summer Fair, Moved To Saturday 18 September, 12 noon – 4 p.m.
St Mary’s Summer Fair – Volunteers Needed – We are hoping it will be a great event where we welcome both Church Members and their families but also lots of people from the local community. To make it happen we really need lots and lots of volunteers primarily on the 17th and 18th September but also some to help out with general organisation and planning beforehand. So please, please if you can help – (as they say – every little helps) – please could you fill in the on line form to let us know what you can do and when. Click on this link https://forms.gle/mQuyBADseWjzesa96 and if technology has worked it will take you to an online form! Kind Regards, Sarah Lavelle and Claire Archibald

Small is Beautiful
Thinking of getting married in 2021? Don’t let the size of your wedding put you off! Daniel and Rachel Sutton were married at St.Mary’s in July 2020. At the time, only twenty four guests were allowed at the church and it was touch and go as to whether the wedding would be able to take place at all, as we were only coming out of the first lockdown. But size didn’t matter to Rachel and Daniel.
Speaking of their wedding, they said: “Our biggest priority was to get married to each other in church. Of course, we would have wanted more of our families and friends to be there, but at the end of the day getting married was our main focus, and having our immediate families there was enough”.
Rev.Jeremy Tear, Pioneer Team Rector based at St.Mary’s said, “It was a great delight to have Daniel and Rachel married at St.Mary’s, one of the first church post lockdown weddings in Warrington. If you are thinking of getting married this year, don’t let the numbers of wedding guests you may or may not be able to have put you off. You can always return to church later for a celebration of your marriage with all your family and friends when circumstances change”.
If you would like to get married at St.Mary’s this year, please contact Jane Hampton our weddings co-ordinator on 07396 606323 or email email@example.com

Prayer for the Current Coronavirus Crisis
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy
in this time of uncertainty and distress.
Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may rejoice in your comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
At St.Mary’s we have a daily cycle of prayer so that all the streets in the parish are prayed for each month,
alongside a daily topic for prayer. Please click on the link below for the prayer cycle’
