Vital Church roles…
Our annual parochial church meeting is coming up on Sunday 18 October at 11.15/11.30 am. This is an opportunity for new people to join the leadership team of St Mary’s (& allow others to have a break!)
Please pray as to whether God is calling you to take up one of these roles this year. For more information speak with the Vicar, Jeremy Tear or Lynn Parish, Churchwarden. Role descriptions are also available.
The Parochial Church Council is where we make decisions about the direction and priorities of the church. We think about how we work towards our church vision of ‘a growing church making a growing difference’ and we oversee buildings and finance.
Who? Prayerful people with vision! Experience not necessary.
How many? We are looking for 8 people to come onto the PCC this year.
We are looking for 3 people to serve for 3 years, 3 people to serve for 2 years, and 2 people to serve for 1 year. You need to fill in a form at the back of church with a proposer and seconder.
The Area Dean has an exciting vision for the renewal of the church. Deanery Synod members will have a vital role in helping this come about.
Who? Just like the PCC: Prayerful people with vision! Experience not necessary.
How many? We are looking for three people to stand this year. Term of office is 3 years. Again, fill in a form at the back of church.
Responsible for practical and administrative tasks to make sure the church runs smoothly. This is an annual appointment
.We are looking for 2 people to be wardens this year Lynn Parish is willing to continue and 2 assistant wardens to assist the wardens in their roles (Ian Knight is willing to continue; Janet Kerswell will be standing down). Fill in a form at the back of church with a proposer and seconder
